The History of leadership of Procad in Brazil was made of the meeting between people, technology and responsibility. This decisively contributed for the evolution in the way of selling and serving the necessities of sale of the furniture sector.
To have an idea, some years ago the kitchen and bedroom projects were elaborated manually. Besides demanding a specific skill, there was lack of time for adjustments and corrections, as well as an unsatisfactory visualization of the project from the customer. With the computerized process, not only does the project gain a tri dimensional aspect, but mainly the versatility of the resources made available by informatics.
- 1994 | PROCAD emerges in the technological scenery to offer solutions for the automation of engineering and manufacturing areas through the systems CAD (Computer Aided Design) having adopted as a work platform, at the time, the AUTOCAD software, becoming the first retailer Autodesk in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul. Parallel to the commercialization of this software, Procad developed specific applications, from which the AutoMOB stood out – a solution for the furniture market, whose principal purpose was the elaboration and the budgeting of interior projects with planned furniture.
- 1998 | Searching for specialization and serving the great necessity of a group of clients in the furniture area, Procad creates a solution for layout with low cost and easy handling independent from Autocad. The first version of the Promob software then comes out.
- 2001 | The 3.0 version of Promob is launched, having as main characteristic being totally in 3D. In the same year Procad strategically quits being an Autodesk® retailer and focus exclusively in self developed products.
- 2002 | The 4i version of Promob is launched, a version with the add of resources and tools principally aimed at internet integration.
With this product, Procad re-defined the parameters of projects Sales, and today, it serves the greatest and principal furniture industries of the country, and is leader of the segment in Latin America with products commercialized in over 30 countries.
- 2005 | The new concept for environment projects and sales tool is presented to the market, The Promob 5, whose result is not only an evolution of the before version, but something totally new, rewritten with latest technology and using all the know-how acquired. The Promob Studio, Promob Lite and Promob Plus softwares then come out, divided to meet the specificities of each market segment.
- 2007 | Attentive to the market demands, Procad launches the Promob Arch, a software destined specially to environment architects and designers. This software amplifies the offer of solutions by Procad and meets the growing needs of these professionals for a complete tool in the development of environments.
Since then, the company has been investing in constant improvement and innovation which generate the launching of exclusive versions every year, allowing the tools’ constant evolution, and, the most important, making these new items available to all users, making their day-by-day easier.
